At the Guris Dinar Wind Farm project, GE installed their 2X series brilliant turbine technology. This new tech allows the turbines to connect to each other, network systems and also the field operators. Probably the most important technologies that has been installed in the turbines is what they call the load control system. This system allows for the monitoring of each blade individually.
As a result, they are able to adjust all the blades for optimum wind conditions remotely. Additionally this helps them achieve maximum energy yield whilst at the same time reducing the mechanical stress on the whole system. By installing these digital monitoring technologies in the turbines, GE has managed to connect them so that if one experiences turbulence it pings the other turbines too. It also sends warning for any possible violent wind fluctuations and therefore the other turbines are ready to take any required precautions against any sudden wind changes.
This GE 2X series advanced software technology allows the operators to be able to analyze huge amounts of data in real time. The team of experts can then use the results to incorporate the necessary optimization, that allows GE to offer their customers high performance and super efficient wind turbines.
