In a recent interview GE Energy’s Operations Leader, Ken Jones, explained how what really governs the success of the company is the diverse group of people that make up their workforce. The biggest advantage is that they are all different, hence you can learn from each one every time you interact, making it easier to solve any problems that may arise.
The company has been based in Pensacola, Florida for nearly 20 years now. This is the facility that has assembled the majority of GE’s wind turbine components. They make sure that they employ people who are passionate about what they do, hard working and dedicated to keeping the plant productive. The plant has worked closely with the state to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
It helps that the city itself is a beautiful place to live. The environment promotes a happier life, which helps to keep the employees motivated and productive at work. The often show off, that they live where we all want to go on vacation. The beach is always there to welcome you, after a long day at work.
