One of the world’s most innovative wind turbines has been manufactured by a company called Semtive. It is a simple, small vertical axis wind turbine that can be installed on rooftops to generate the required electricity. The Nemoi Wind Turbine is perfect solution for both urban areas and rural areas like in Africa too.
There is currently two models available. The Nemoi S wind turbine which costs about USD$ 3100, weighs 55 lbs (25kg) and generates about 600W of power. The other one is the Nemoi M wind turbine which costs about USD$6400, weighs 308.6 lbs (140kg) and generates 2400 W of power.
Both models can be installed in any home or weather conditions. They are noiseless and have the ability to produce energy in low or high weather conditions. Made from aircraft grade aluminium, they are not only durable but require very little to no maintenance. Installation is also a breeze. The smaller one is more suitable for residential use, whilst the bigger one can be commercial.
